Temporary Closure of Emergency Services and Virtual ER Availability at Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre in New-Wes-Valley

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public of a temporary closure of emergency services at Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre in New Wes Valley from 8:30 p.m. on November 3, 2024 to 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on Monday, November 4, 2024.

During the period of temporary closure, residents requiring emergency services are advised to call 911. Those who feel they have a serious or urgent medical problem should proceed to the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander. If you are unsure if you should go to the emergency department, please call the 811 HealthLine.

811 HealthLine is available 24/7 to provide:

• medical advice (including virtual nurse practitioner appointments which can usually be accommodated within three days);
• health information; and
• support in a mental health crisis.
