Virtual Urgent Care Services Opening at Bay d’Espoir Medical Clinic

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that virtual urgent care services will be available at the Bay d’Espoir Medical Clinic in St. Alban’s starting Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.

This new service will be delivered by an on-site health-care professional in collaboration with a virtual nurse practitioner (NP) through a secure video connection. The virtual urgent care clinic will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Walk-in only appointments will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

This service is available to all patients, with or without a current family health-care provider, offering same-day urgent care. Examples of patients who may be seen at an urgent care clinic include those who have cold and flu symptoms, fever, earaches, urinary tract infections, rashes, less serious illness and injury, cuts, wound or skin conditions. For medical emergencies requiring an ambulance, please call 911. If you have a serious or urgent medical issue, visit the nearest emergency department.
