NL Health Services Accepting Applications for Scholarships

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is now accepting applications across the province for scholarships available to staff, dependants of staff within NL Health Services, and other eligible graduate or post-graduate students.  

“Along with our partners, NL Health Services is pleased to offer $52,000 in scholarships to support health-care professionals across the province with their education,” said Karen Stone, KC, CEO (interim) of NL Health Services. “Continuous learning and education in health care plays a pivotal role in helping maintain safe, sustainable and quality health-care services for the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.” 

NL Health Services offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to support the pursuit of higher education and knowledge in Newfoundland and Labrador. There are more than 45 scholarships available this year, ranging from $500 to $6,500, including: 

• 18 – $1,000 NL Health Services scholarships for staff 

• 18 – $500 NL Health Services scholarships for dependents of staff 

• Five – $2,000 Health Care Foundation scholarships for staff 

• One – $1,000 St. Clare’s Auxiliary scholarship for staff 

• One – $750 Janeway Auxiliary scholarship for staff 

• One – $1,000 Sister Mary Fabian scholarship for dependent of staff 

• Two – $6,500 Quality Health Care scholarships applicable to all internal or external NL Health Services applicants

NL Health Services scholarships are awarded upon merit. The scholarship review team will assess all applications and select the scholarship recipients based on established criteria.
