Dedication of James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre Obstetrics, Gynecology and Pediatrics Unit

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services will hold an official dedication ceremony for the obstetrics, gynecology and pediatrics unit at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, in Gander, 125 Trans-Canada Highway, on Tuesday, March 25, at 2:00 p.m. The unit is being dedicated to the memory of the late Dr. Peter Blackie.

Speakers at the event will include the Honourable Dr. John Haggie, Acting Minister of Health and Community Services, Town of Gander Mayor Percy Farwell, Dr. Blackie’s family, and representatives from NL Health Services.

Members of the media are asked to meet at the main entrance of the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre at 1:45 p.m. for escort to the ceremony. Media interested in attending should RSVP to the media contact below.
