Paramedicine and Medical Transport Team to Hold ‘Pack the Back to School’ Supply and Food Drive in Forteau

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services will be holding a ‘Pack the Back to School’ event in Southern Labrador to assist families in need during the return to school season. The event will take place in Forteau, at Riff’s Department Store – 51 Main Street, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In partnership with the area school, Labrador Straits Academy, we are asking for the public’s assistance to pack the back of an ambulance with school supplies and food items for school breakfast programs.

Items that have been identified by the schools for donation include:

• School supplies – pencils, erasers, binders, exercise books, loose leaf paper and bookbags.
• Peanut-free food items – canned fruit or applesauce, wholegrain products, such as crackers, cereals, and granola bars (non-dipped varieties).

Please come out and help us pack the back of the ambulance with back-to-school donations. NL Health Services, in partnership with area schools, thanks you for your generosity.
