Patient Transfer Route to New Western Memorial Regional Hospital on June 2

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises that Western Memorial Regional Hospital is currently in the process of relocating to its new permanent location at 100 Health Care Crescent in Corner Brook, NL, with Patient Move Day taking place this Sunday, June 2, 2024. On this day, all inpatients will be transferred to the new hospital.

In coordination with the City of Corner Brook, a designated route will be used to transfer inpatients. Roads identified include Brookfield Ave, West Valley Road, O’Connell Drive, University Ave, Corporal Pinsent Memorial Drive, and Lewin Parkway. To enable a smooth transfer of inpatients to the new hospital, the public is asked to avoid this route on June 2 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., if possible.

Individuals requiring health and emergency services are reminded to proceed to the new Western Memorial Regional Hospital at 100 Health Care Crescent starting at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday June 2, 2024.
