Scheduled Power System Upgrade at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that there will be a scheduled power system upgrade at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twillingate on:

• Tuesday, March 4 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 5 from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.

During the upgrade period, the site will be supported by emergency power. Patient care will not be impacted as the emergency department will remain open and most services will continue with minimal disruption.

Emergency medical imaging and laboratory services will continue to be available; however, starting Tuesday, March 4:

• Routine and walk-in laboratory (blood collection) services will not be available on Tuesday, March 4 and will resume Wednesday, March 5 at 8:00 a.m.
• Routine and walk-in medical imaging services will not be available on Tuesday, March 4, but will resume Wednesday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m.

During the power upgrade, patients and visitors may notice reduced lighting in some areas of the building. Signage will be in place throughout the facility, and staff will be on-site to assist with directing visitors and patients, if needed. For safety reasons, we request that visitors consider visiting at another time. Palliative care visitation will continue during this time.
