Water Loss to St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital is currently experiencing an interruption to water due to a water main break on St. Clare Avenue. Repair crews from the city of St. John’s are currently working to resolve this issue; however, there currently is no timeline for repairs and restoration of services.

As a result, traffic entering from Lemarchant Road to the emergency entrance will not be able to exit onto St. Clare Avenue. Staff and patients are asked to use the main entrance during this time. This entrance will be used by emergency vehicles and personnel only until the water main issue is resolved. Security personnel will be present to help direct the flow of traffic in and out of this exit. These measures will remain in effect for the duration of the water interruption.
