Temporary Service Changes at Dr. William H. Newhook Community Health Centre Due to Planned Water Outage

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public of temporary service changes at Dr. William H. Newhook Community Health Centre in Whitbourne tomorrow, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, due to a planned water shut off by the town.

Details regarding services on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 are as follows:

  • Urgent care services will not be available.
  • Blood collection and medical imaging services will proceed as scheduled.
  • Patients who have booked clinic appointments at the site will be contacted directly and offered a virtual appointment.

In case of emergency: Patients with a medical emergency who require an ambulance should call 911. Those who feel they have a serious or urgent medical problem should proceed to their nearest emergency department.
