Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that there will be a scheduled power system upgrade at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twillingate on Thursday, March 7, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and lasting for approximately 4 hours.

During the upgrade period, the site will be supported by emergency power. The emergency department will remain open, patient care will not be impacted and most services will continue with minimal disruption.

Routine and walk-in medical imaging (X-ray), electrocardiogram (EKG) and laboratory (blood collection) services will not be available for the day, however, emergency medical imaging and laboratory services continue to be available.

Patients and visitors may notice electrical cords and reduced lighting in some areas of the building. Parking may be effected due to Newfoundland Power vehicles on site. Signage will be in place throughout the facility, and staff will be on-site to assist with directing visitors and patients, if needed.

NL Health Services apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
