Temporary Interruption to Urgent Surgical Services at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that urgent surgical services at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville will be limited on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. due to the temporary unavailability of a surgeon.

Patients in the area who require urgent surgical services during this time period are advised to proceed to the emergency department at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville where they will be assessed and transferred to another hospital, if necessary.

Patients who are in closer proximity to another hospital, such as Burin Peninsula Health Centre, Carbonear General Hospital or James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre in Gander, should proceed there for assessment.
