Temporary Service Changes Due to Inclement Weather

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public of temporary service changes due to inclement weather effective today, Monday, January 29, 2024:

  • In-person service at the community walk-in clinic located at 50 Mundy Pond Road in St. John’s will be available until 4:00 p.m. Virtual appointments between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. will proceed, and those patients will be contacted.
  • In-person Doorways services in Eastern-Urban and Eastern-Rural zones will be available until 12:00 p.m. Virtual services will continue normally. Please visit https://mha.easternhealth.ca/doorways/ to find a list of contact information.
  • The breastfeeding support group at the Marystown Community Health office scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. has been cancelled.

In case of emergency: Patients with a medical emergency who require an ambulance should call 911. Those who feel they have a serious or urgent medical problem should proceed to their nearest emergency department. If you are unsure if you should go to the emergency department, please call the 811 HealthLine or click here.

811 HealthLine is available 24/7 to provide:

  • medical advice (including virtual nurse practitioner appointments which can usually be accommodated within three days);
  • health information; and
  • support in a mental health crisis.
