Health-care Services During Wildfire Within Central Zone
Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that we are continuing to monitor the wildfire in the Central Zone.
At this time there is no reduction in service for NL Health Services facilities and operations continue. However, due to a road closure for Route 360, those travelling off of the Connaigre Peninsula for appointments may experience delays.
Patients with in-person appointments affected by the road closure will be contacted by NL Health Services to reschedule or to make alternate arrangements. If you have questions surrounding an upcoming appointment, please call the booking office number on the appointment letter.
Residents of the Connaigre Peninsula should proceed as normal to health-care facilities in their area for care. Air ambulance services will be available to those in need of critical medical transport from the Connaigre Peninsula.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately. For all non-emergency medical support, please call the 811 HealthLine.
Mental health resources:
NL Health Services recognizes that this may be a difficult time for people and encourages them to avail of mental health resources, if necessary.
