Services Impacted by Wildfires Resume at Carbonear General Hospital  

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is resuming regular operations, effective Wednesday, August 20, 2025, for outpatient services at Carbonear General Hospital that had been impacted due to the ongoing wildfires. Individuals have been contacted directly to reschedule their appointments, as needed.

The following temporary pop-up clinics remain in place in Carbonear at this time:

Carbonear Academy, 88 Valley Road (reception centre)

– Drop-in clinic daily.*
– In-person and virtual care for impacted residents and evacuees.
– Mental health and addictions staff are also on-site to provide support and navigation.

Carbonear Community Health Services Building, 15A Industrial Crescent
– Walk-in: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.*
– Patients can also book an appointment by calling 709-945-6550.
