Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public of a change of access at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, in Gander. New security doors have been installed inside the main entrance of the facility, next to registration. Access to the emergency department through the main entrance is not affected, however, effective Monday, December 22, 2025, these doors will close each night at 9:30 p.m.

People proceeding to the emergency department should follow signage which will direct them to take their immediate left after entering through the main entrance.

To access other areas of James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre when the security doors have been closed, there is a buzzer located next to the security doors that connects directly to the switchboard.
