Limited Access at Main Entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for X-ray Relocation

November 25, 2025

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that there will be limited access to the main entrance of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, in St. John’s, on Tuesday November 25, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until approximately 6:00 p.m. This is required to support the removal and relocation of X-ray equipment from St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital to the new Ambulatory Health Hub at 28 Stavanger Drive.

During this time, all visitors, patients, and staff can still access the site through the main entrance but may experience a short delay. The emergency department entrance is not impacted. Alternate access routes for the facility will also be available and security will be on site to offer guidance. Safeguards will be in place while this equipment is being removed; however, the public is advised to proceed with caution and to follow posted signage.

Walk-in X-ray services opened at the Ambulatory Health Hub in late October. Relocation of this X-ray equipment will increase access to X-ray services at the hub. X-ray services at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital continue to be offered.

NL Health Services apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
