NL Health Services Announces New Strategic Innovation Partners
November 4, 2025Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is pleased to announce the addition of five new innovation partners as vendors of record during its annual Health Innovation Summit. NL Health Services has entered into these partnerships to enhance health and well-being of patients, residents and clients of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Through an open call Request for Supplier Qualification process, NL Health Services formed partnerships with vendors of record who can provide professional services to NL Health Services. These new partners are Baxter Corporation, Becton Dickinson Canada, Bluedrop Learning Networks, Keyin College, and Mariner Innovations.
“NL Health Services has had great success exploring and developing creative solutions with various vendors. This collaborative approach has resulted in a positive impact on health care by improving access to care and patient flow, for example, in Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Ron Johnson, vice president of Digital Health, Innovation and Research, Chief Information Officer (A) for NL Health Services. “We welcome the new vendors and are looking forward to working with them, along with our returning vendors, to find new and exciting innovations for health-care service and delivery.”
In addition to the five new vendors of record, NL Health Services also renewed 15 existing partnerships with vendors: Accenture, Amazon Web Services, Care Partners, CGI, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Fonemed North America Inc., General Electric Healthcare, KPMG LP, Mobia Technology Innovations, Ricoh Canada, Roche Diagnostics, Seafair Capital, Sequence Bioinformatics, and Vision 33 Inc.
As vendors of record, the strategic innovation partners work with NL Health Services to develop innovative solutions to enhance health-care services and delivery. Based on specific issues being faced within the health-care system, NL Health Services may initiate a limited call for proposals or issue challenges to the strategic innovation partners on specific innovation requirements such as medical device design and implementation or application and software development.
