Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is hosting a public tour day at the new ambulatory health hub at Unity Health Centre, 28 Stavanger Drive (the former Costco building) in St. John’s which opens for patient care on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Tours will be available on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting every half hour.

Participating in a tour will provide visitors with the opportunity to view selected areas including registration and clinic spaces. Clinics moving to the new ambulatory health hub as of Tuesday morning include:

• general medicine,
• internal medicine,
• general surgery,
• total joint assessment clinic/bariatric optimization clinic,
• eye clinic,
• plastic surgery outpatient clinic,
• endocrine clinic,
• thrombosis,
• adult outpatient anticoagulation management services,
• cardiac diagnostics (electrocardiograms and echocardiograms including all walk-in electrocardiograms),
• medical imaging (X-ray machines),
• orthopedics, and
• audiology.

NL Health Services’ staff will lead the tours and will be able to answer questions about the new hub.

Visitors are advised to use the main entrance of the new facility to access the tour. Please refer to the below image for more information regarding the location.

Note to media: This public event is intended for community members to view the new hub. NL Health Services will be able to provide media a tour from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
