Staff spotlight: Canadian Public Health Week
April 8, 2026During Canadian Public Health Week, we’re proud to recognize the dedicated professionals who help keep our communities healthy, both on the front lines and behind the scenes.
Meet Denise Graham, public health nurse

At NL Health Services, the dedication of our staff is at the heart of everything we do, and Denise Graham is a wonderful example of that commitment.
Originally from Rose Blanche and now living in Corner Brook, Denise plays a key role in health and disease prevention. She supports families, monitors child development, and delivers immunization programs that protect communities.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Denise supported swabbing, clinics, and contact tracing. She also administered the very first COVID-19 vaccine in the Western Zone, bringing hope to her community when it was needed the most.
What keeps her going? Making a difference and hearing a simple “thank you.”
Her advice: “Look after your own health. Don’t be so busy caring for others that you forget about yourself.”
Meet Hannah Tilley, social marketing consultant

Originally from Clarenville and now living in St. John’s, Hannah helps shape how we communicate health information across the province.
One of her proudest accomplishments is leading the development and growth of the Health Information (Hi) website—now featuring more than 340 topics, an AI chatbot, and expanded provincial access.
She is currently supporting its transition to the NL Health Services website and is excited to be part of the upcoming SmartParent project launch.
Driven by creativity and collaboration, Hannah is passionate about making health information easier to understand and access, for everyone.
