How can I protect myself against job scams from individuals or companies claiming to be NL Health Services?

Always verify contact information
All official email communications from NL Health Services come from an email address ending in @nlhealthservices.ca
If you are unsure about the communication, ask for a phone number and call it back to confirm legitimacy.
Check official job postings
All available positions are posted on the NL Health Services recruitment portal.
Be cautious of unsolicited job offers
If you are contacted directly by NL Health Services or Work in Health NL for a position you did not apply for, make sure to confirm the communication is coming from a verified representative by double checking phone numbers, recruiter credentials, and email addresses.
Interviews are required
NL Health Services will not offer employment without an interview.
NL Health Services does not hire applicants “on the spot”.
References are verified before any job offer is made.
No fees or payment
NL Health Services will never ask you to pay fees, deposits, or processing costs at any stage of recruitment.
