NL Health Services Announces New Strategic Innovation Partners

November 6, 2026

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is pleased to announce the addition of two new innovation partners as vendors of record. NL Health Services has entered into these partnerships to enhance the health and well-being of patients, long-term care residents and clients of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Through an open call Request for Supplier Qualification process, NL Health Services formed partnerships with vendors of record who can provide professional services to NL Health Services. These new partners are Cloud Diagnostics (Cloud Dx) and Teladoc Health Canada Inc. In addition to these new vendors of record, NL Health Services has renewed partnerships with vendors: Amazon Web Services, Baxter Corporation, Becton Dickinson Canada, Bluedrop Learning Networks, Deloitte, Fonemed North America Inc., Kinovo Solutions (formerly Mobia Technology Innovations), KPMG LP, Mariner Innovations, Roche Diagnostics, Seafair Capital, and Sequence Bioinformatics.

“Through partnerships with a range of vendors, NL Health Services has been able to identify and implement innovative approaches that strengthen health-care delivery,” said Kendra Lester, vice president, Digital Health and Chief Information Officer, NL Health Services. “These efforts have helped us look at ways to address the complexities of the health system, to improve access, outcomes, system stability and system sustainability. We are pleased to welcome our new vendors and continue our relationships with existing partners as we explore fresh ideas and opportunities to enhance health services and delivery throughout the province.”

As vendors of record, the strategic innovation partners work with NL Health Services to develop innovative solutions to enhance health-care services and delivery. Based on specific issues being faced within the health-care system, NL Health Services may initiate a limited call for proposals or issue challenges to the strategic innovation partners on specific innovation requirements such as medical device design and implementation or application and software development.

NL Health Services operates a Living Lab, an approach to developing and testing new solutions in real health-care settings with the people who will use them. Clinicians, researchers, industry partners, and operational teams work together to identify challenges, test solutions in real care settings, and evaluate their potential to improve patient care. Central to NL Health Services’ innovation strategy, the Living Lab brings public and private partners together to improve patient care. It gives health-care innovators, from startups to global enterprises, an opportunity to develop, test, and commercialize solutions that are patient-centred, value-driven, and scalable.
