Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is pleased to announce that additional medical imaging reports are now accessible via MyHealthNL. With this expansion, patients can securely view all medical imaging reports from X-rays to magnetic resonance imaging (MRIs), computed tomography (CT) scans, mammograms, ultrasounds and more from across the province.

By empowering patients with secure access to their medical imaging reports, MyHealthNL promotes a more collaborative and informed approach to care. Since its launch on July 4, 2024, over 100,000 people across Newfoundland and Labrador have signed up for MyHealthNL. This milestone reflects the growing value of the app in providing easy, secure access to personal health records and health resources.

“Reaching 100,000 people highlights the benefits of MyHealthNL as a trusted app. It provides secure access to health information, putting it directly into the hands of patients and families to take a more proactive role in managing their health,” said Stephen Greene, chief information officer and vice president responsible for Digital Health, NL Health Services. “MyHealthNL is a clear example of how NL Health Services is leveraging digital technology to improve health in our province, and a reflection of our commitment to modernizing health-care delivery.”

“The MyHealthNL app has been a great tool to help Newfoundlanders and Labradorians manage their health,” said the Honourable John Hogan, KC, Minister of Health and Community Services. “We have heard requests for the app to have more features and are happy to see that additional medical imaging reports are now available. We look forward to working with NL Health Services to continue to bring the services people want to the MyHealthNL app.”

The MyHealthNL app, available for download from the Apple and Google Play stores, can also be accessed via web browsers at MyHealthNL.ca. Key features of MyHealthNL app include:

  • Secure and convenient access: Using the same login credentials as MyGovNL, individuals aged 16 and older can securely access their personal health record, including lab results and medical imaging reports, dispensed medications and allergy information from community pharmacies across the province, right from their smartphone or computer.
  • Comprehensive health resources: The app includes an extensive, evidenced-based health library where individuals can explore dozens of medical conditions, common symptoms and treatment options, as well as quick links to essential health resources, such as Bridge the gap, help lines and more.
  • Guest experience: The app has a guest mode that allows users to explore general health information and services.
