Paramedicine and Medical Transport Team to Hold ‘Pack the Back to School’ Supply and Food Drive in La Scie

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services will hold a ‘Pack the Back to School’ event in Central Newfoundland to assist families in need during the return to school season. The event will take place at the La Scie town hall parking lot on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In partnership with area schools, Hillside Elementary and Cape John Collegiate, we are asking for the public’s assistance to pack the back of an ambulance with school supplies and food items for school breakfast programs.

Items that have been identified by the schools for donation include:

• School supplies – pencils, erasers, binders, exercise books, loose leaf paper and bookbags.
• Peanut-free food items – canned fruit or applesauce, wholegrain products, such as crackers, cereals, and granola bars (non-dipped varieties).

Monetary donations or grocery gift cards are also being accepted in lieu of purchased items.

Please come out and help us pack the back of the ambulance with back-to-school donations. NL Health Services, in partnership with area schools, thanks you for your generosity.
