Services in Central Zone Impacted by Adverse Weather
Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that the Bay d’Espoir Medical Clinic in St. Alban’s and the St Alban’s Community Health Clinic are closed for the remainder of the day (March 8) due to adverse weather. Please note the Bay d’Espoir Ambulance Service is not impacted by the change in service and can be accessed by calling 911.
NL Health Services reminds the public that, due to adverse weather, all Eastern-Urban and Eastern-Rural zone administrative buildings and community buildings/health sites that do not provide a 24-hour service, with the exception of the dialysis treatment centres located at Mount Pearl Square and Coish Place in Clarenville, are closed today (March 8). Eastern-Urban and Eastern-Rural zone hospitals, the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, long-term care facilities, and other sites with 24-hour operations will remain open, and emergency services continue to be available.
NL Health Services advises patients and clients to check with their health-care provider’s office to confirm that their appointment is going ahead, and reminds patients and clients that there may be delays. Individuals travelling long distances are encouraged to call ahead to make sure their appointments are not impacted by the weather. NL Health Services also reminds individuals that if they are not able to present for a scheduled appointment to notify the respective health-care area(s). General contact information is available at: https://nlhealthservices.ca/contact/.
