Telephone and Internet Disruption Impacting Facilities in the Western Zone

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises the public that work is ongoing to resolve interruptions to telephone and internet services currently impacting NL Health Services’ facilities across the Western Zone.

Several IT systems are currently affected, including Meditech, the main information system used to manage patient care and finance information.

NL Health Services has implemented contingency plans and is focused on the delivery of emergency care as we work to resolve the outage.

In case of emergency: Residents in the Western Zone who require an ambulance should dial 911. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call the NL HealthLine at 811.

This interruption in service is expected to impact the availability of some health-care services. Regular updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

NL Health Services apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the public for their patience.
