New Technology

New Technology You’ll See in NL Health Sites

Things are changing in your health care journey—and many of these changes are designed to make your experience simpler, safer, and more connected.

As part of CorCare, new devices are being introduced across NL Health Services sites to support your care. These tools help care teams spend more time with patients, reduce paperwork, and improve communication.

What You May Notice During Your Visit

Self Check-In Kiosk

When you arrive for an appointment, you may see self check-in kiosks.

  • Scan your MCP card to check-in quickly
  • Reduce wait times at registration desks
  • Confirm your appointment details easily

These kiosks are options – staff are always available to assist if needed.

WOW (Workstation on Wheels)

WOWs are mobile computer stations used by care teams.

  • Brought right to your bedside
  • Allow care providers to access your personal health record in real time
  • Support safer, more coordinated care

This means your care team can spend more time focused on you, with the information they need at their fingertips.

Rover devices

You may see care providers using handheld mobile devices called the Rover.

  • Used to scan and confirm important patient information
  • Help ensure medications and treatments are accurate
  • Improve communication between members of your care team.

These devices help reduce errors and support safer care delivery.
