NL Prenatal Record
Information for health-care providers: The Perinatal Program Newfoundland and Labrador (PPNL) has launched a new prenatal record for use across Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). Â
PPNL has committed to improving the provincial prenatal record through extensive research, environmental scans and engagement with prenatal care providers across NL. In collaboration with the province of Nova Scotia and its Reproductive Care Program (RCP), PPNL has completed a full revision of the prenatal record by adapting RCPâs prenatal record to suit prenatal care in NL. Â
All primary care providers who manage prenatal patients are to use the revised prenatal record and its accompanying documents. Effective November 10th, 2025:Â
- New patients: Please use the new prenatal record for any new patients. Â
- Existing patients: Please consider transitioning ongoing patients to the new prenatal record for improved documentation, pending gestation and complexity of the pregnancy. Â
